COLLEGE GOVERNORS.

At a meeting o f the College Governors yesterday, accounts amounting to £839 11s 6d were passed for payment. The Assistant Inspector-General of Schools wrote stating tiiat arrangements had been made by which the Education Board has been authorised to pay for the current year the tuition fees at the Girls' College of holders of scholarships to whom scholarships were recently awarded by the board on the resirlts of the 1908 examinations. The secretary reported that the balance of the £10,00*0 grant on the new college buildings had been paid by the Government. The sum of £252 2s vras required for the furniture and fittings.
