A company, to be Known as the Bovril Australian Estates, Limited, is being formed to acquire the properties of Mr. Sydney Kidman, "the Australian Cattle King," and other properties. Mr. Kidman, born near Adelaide, left home at the age of 13 to seek his fortune. He wati a cowboy on Mount Gipps at 10s a week, carted wood and drove bullocks on the Darling, went in for mining, and with his brother established an extensive business in horse and cattle dealing, in partnership with others had mail contracts in four States, and for many years has had an extensive trade in cattle and horses. He owns numerous station properties in Australia.
