Considerable alterations in the WellingtonOnehunga steamer services are announced. From early next month the Rotoiti is to leave New Plymouth for Onehunga on Thursdays and 'Saturdays. On Mondays she leaves Onehunga for New Plj mouth and Wellington, arriving here on Wednesday mornings. On Wednesday evenings she leaves here for New Plymouth and Onehunga, without calling at Picton or Nelson. Each Friday the Rotoiti will leave Onehunga for New Plymouth. The Union Company's cargo steamers will continue their service, to southern ports, the Corinna and Koonya sailing from here once a fortnight. The latter vessel, instead of calling at Nelson en route to Westport; will call at New Plymouth, while the Pukaki will proceed to the West Coast via Nelson. SHIPPED TO WEST OF ENGLAND. Details of the construction of the Anchor Cqmpany's new steamer Waimea arc now available. The vessel is desciibed as a j stefel twin-screw steamer of 400 tons gross register, and classed 100 Al at Lloyds. Her ljuUUei's were Messrs. Mackie and Thomson, Ltd., of Glasgow, and the principal dimensions are given as follows :— Length, 150 ft ; beam, 25ft 9in; depth, 10ft. The engines are of the triple expansion type, with cylinders of llin, 17in, and 28in, with a 21in stioke.
