AN IMPORTANT AMENDMENT,
(Received December 17, 8.40 a.m.) ! LONDON, 16th December. Lord Lansdowne forecasted important changes in the Miners' Eight-Hour Bill in committee. The Bill contains a proviso to exclude the time taken in entering and leaving a mine for five ' years, when ingress or egress will be counted as part of the working day. Lord Lansdowne proposes to cancel the latter proviso, leaving any change in this respect to a future Parliament.
