» fBT THLEGBAPH — PRES3 ASSOCIATION.! CHRISTCHURCH, 14th Dec. The Canterbury Women's Institute has resolved to send a letter of sympathy to Mrs. Pankhurst, one of the leaders of the suffragist movement in England, who was sentenced to a term of imprisonment for an offence arising out of a demonstration oi protest against the withholding of women's Iranchise. It has also been decided to forward a copy of the letter to Mrs. W. Pember Reeves, a former member of the institute.
