The Working Men's Club last nifrht carried a proposal to call for competitive designs for plans for a new building, the cost of which is not to exceed £10,000. A premium of a hundred pounds is offered for the best plan. Tenders for the construction of the municipal baths largely exceeded the amount authorised by the loan (£6000), and the council will modify the plans and call for fresh tenders.
To-morrow, at 2.30 o'clock, Mr. W. P. Healy, Cuba-street, ■will sell by auction, furniture, flooroloth, kitchen utensils, and j crockery. Particulars wa advertised in I this issua.
