The Wellington Branch of the Nertf Zealand Socialist Party in April, 1903, appointed Mr. Harry Lamer as paid! secretary, and according to Ms report? and balance-sheet the branch is iv ai very flourishing condition. The total income for the quarter ending 30th June, •was £254 4s Bd, and the expenditure £230. Owing to the voluntary resigna^ tion of Mt. Lamer, who is shortly leav* ing New Zealand, a bi-quarterly balance* sheet was presented on 16th Augustwhich showed the income as £138 4s ldthe expenditure £117 13s Id, and bal-s ance in bank and cash £20 11s. these balance-sheets, with books, re<i ceipt«, and vouchers were placed in th*" 1 hands of Messrs. Sutton and Bendall accountants, Wellington, who have cert? fied them to be correct.
