. THE POSITION AT BROKEN ' RIVER. [BT TELEGBAPH. — FKESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Twenty-four men were despatched yesterday to the railway works at Broken Hiver. Eight more-are to follow to-mor-row. The labour market is again normal, with every prospect of strong demand for farm and unskilled labonr during the nexfc few weeks, if the weather i holds fair as it is now. There are now nearly 300 men at the works at BrokenRiver. Fine weather- has done much to ameliorate the discomforts of the new-, camp, and the men are contended.
