FATAL RAILWAY COLLISION.

Details of the railway collision near Antwerp show that the victims were mutilated and crushed in a ghastly manner, several being decapitated. The signalman fled. The casualty list is stated to be as under :—: — Killed '' ... 40 ' Injured 80 PEASANT PILGRIMS. SIGNALMAN BECOMES DE- . MENTED. (Received May 23, 9 a.m.) BRUSSELS, 22nd May. The victims of the .Antwerp acoident were mostly peasant pilgrims from the Turnhout Shrine. The signalman, who was arrested, became suddenly demented. Turnhout is twenty-five miles east by north of Antwerp.
