RECENT FATAL BOATING ACCIDENT.
AN INQUEST.
[BT TBtEOBAPH.-HPIIESa ASSOCIATION.] INVERCARGILL, This Day. At an inquest on tho bodios of Charles Brown, Geo. Sanders, und William Jones, who were drowned off Riverton beach, through a mishap to an oil launch, which was caught in a 6torm, it transpired that the launch carried no canvas or tho life-saving apparatus. Apparently the crew ion before the gale Aud attempted to beach the boat, which capsized in tho surf.
A verdict of "accidental death" was returned, but a rider was added to the effect that all sea-going, fishing craft ought to carry life-belts.
