Xhis is tho record of the excavation to date: — In 1904, under the old French methods of work, average for the month, 30,434 cubic yards. In 1905, under improved methods, overage for the month, 02,893 cubic yards. In 1906, average for the month, 412,374 cubic yards. In July. 1907, for the month, 1,072,027 cubic yards. In August, 1907, for the month, 1,274,404 cubic yaids. In September, 1907, for tho month, 1,517,412 cubic yards. In October. 1907, foT the month, 1,563,729 cubic yard?. In November, 1907, for the month, 1,833,466 cubic' yards. In December, 1907, for the month, 2,800,539 cubic yards. Last .six months of 1907, monthly average, 1,628,699 cubic yards.
