It was at firs* thought he. had bacn killed outright, but examination revealed that, he was unconscious. • A piece of bone had been broken off his elbow, there were two bad gashes in his legs, his nose was broken, and the man -was badly bruised generally and shaken. First aid was rendered, and on arrival yesterday the unfortunate -man was taken to the hospital, where his injuries are being attended to.
