The final settling-up over the WebbTresidder sculling' race resulted in each of the scullers receiving over £200 from the "gates" additional to the "'stake. This is more than double the profits of the Webb-Towns match in Sydney, and had the weather been fine the gates .wojild have been much larger. 'x'residder left .to-day for Gisborne on a short holiday, and returns in about a week. Both he and Webb speak in terms of the highest praise of the arrangements carried out by Mr. Tuck in connection with the race.
