AUSTRALIA AND THE POWERS
TRADES HALL MOTION. NEW ZEALAND TO BE CONSIDERED. Bjr Telegraph. — Press Anociation.— Copyright. (Received March 2, 10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The Trades Hall Council adjourned tho discussion on a motion that .members oE the council and Labour members of tho State and Federal Parliaments should wait on Mr. Deakin (Federal Premier) and ask the Federal Government to Tequest the Imperial Government to secure agreement with and co-operation of tho Powers to recognise Australasian territories as non-belligerent, and that matters of difference between such territories and the Powers be settled by arbitration. The motion also proposes to ask New Zealand and Fiji to co-operate in approaching the Home Government.
