At the Addinston livo stock market today thero was ajain a heavy yarding of j sheep, partioularly of fat lambs, and good entries in other departments. There was a large atter.Jance, including a number of store sheep buyers from the South. I1I 1 at lambs sold rather better than last I week. Store sheep wore in good demand for the South. Fat lambs sold at last week's rates, and pigs sold well. Fat wethers wore rather firmer, and fat ewes woro generally easier. There was a dull sale for store and dairy cattle. There was a fairly large yarding of store sheep, and in the absence of rain and the shortage of feed there was little demand from local buyers, but there were a number from Geraldine, Ashburton, and as far south as Gore, the Geraldine buyers being tbe largest purchasers at the sale. Tho prices showed a littlo improvement over those of last week for young ewes and forward lambs, but wethers and backward lambs y:ere either without change or lower in valuos. The yarding of fat lambs was again very heavy, being even larger than that of the previous week. The quality of the lambs was, on the whole, somewhat better. There was a good demand for export, and prices ohowed practically no change. Tegs sold at 15s 3d to 17s; ordinary freezing weights, 12s 6d to 15s ; and lighter, 10s to 12s ; pape lambs, 8s 6d to 9s 5dThero was a moderate yarding of fat sheep, which were mostly ewos. The exEort buyers were operating in wethers, ut were able to purchase few lines at their limits, prices being rather firmer. Good ewes sold well, but the bulk were not well finished, and sold at lower rates thtin last week. The range of prices was: — Prime wethers, 17s to 20s 6d ; lighter, 13s 6d to 16s 6d ; prime ewes, Us 6d to 17s 9d ; medium 12s to 14s ; aged and light, 8s to 12s 6d. There was a mixed entry of store cattle, and a dull sale; 15 to 18-months made 22s 6d to 32s 6d;" 2-year steers, £2 2s to £2 ss; 2-year heifers, 355 ; 3-year steers, £4 to £4 2s 6d ■ 3-yoar heifers, £3 ss ; dry cows, 20? to £3 ss. Dairy cows wore dull of sale up to £7 17s 6d. The supply of beef comprised 220 head, and the yarding bemsj somewhat below the average, and the weather cooler, there was a better demand, and prices were rather firmer. The range of prices was: — Steers," £5 17s 6cl to £10 17s 6d ; heifers, £5 2s 6d to £8; and cows, £4 5s to £8 ss, equal to 20* to 22s 6d for prime, and 17s 6d to 19s 6d for medium, and 14s to 17s for cows and inferior per 1001b. Veal calves made 5s to 555, according to size and ciuality. There was a small yarding of pigs, and a good t>alo at rather firmer rates. Baconers made 50s to 65s (equal to 5d to s?d per lb) , porkers, 36s to 48s (equnl to b^d) ; large stores, 23s to 325 ; medium, 17h 6d to2Q.i; and weuners, 20s and 22a 6d GRAIN MARKET.' DUNEDIN, 26th February. There is pood enquiry for oats for shipment, and all lines threshed meet ready salo at values fairly equal to those ruling last week.
