SWIMMING. THE THORNDON CLUB.
The Thorndon Amateur Swimming Club held a fifty yards boys' race, and a 200 yards club handicap, at Thorndon baths last evening. The 200 yards race Was for a trophy donated by Mr. E. Armstrong. The results were as follows : — 200 Yards — Fred. Roberts (scr), 1; R. Ronayne (scr), 2; E. Picot (26sec). 5. Also started : R. Nelson (16sec), D. H. M'Leod (26sec), J. C. Smith (26scc), and G. Bruce (27scc). Won by a touch. Time, 2min 37 3-sscc. 50 Yards Boys' Race.~S. Styles (12sec), 1 ; L. Armstrong (scr), 2. Also started : L- Scott (7sec). F. Barker (7sec), K. Forth (7sec), and H. Adams (lOsec). Forth, who finished first, was disqualified for starling before his time. Time, 44 3-ssee.
