PAYING OVER THE STAKES. i

The ceremony of paying over the stakes in connoction with tho sculling championship took plaeo to-night during the interval at Montgomery's' picture entertainment, Tresidder's trainer and pacemaker leave to-morrow. Tresidder is staying here for a few days. During the paying over ceremony 1 the stakeholder said that he had recoivod £100 deposit from Arnst, and that the champion and challengor would, in the courso of n few days, meet and arrange a match.
