NAVAL PROJECTS. PURCHASE OF HASTINGS HARBOUR.

The Daily News says that tho Government is purchasing Hastings harbour as a preliminary to forming a naval station there. Hastings, according to Camden, was named after n Danish sea-king, who conquered, built, and fortified the place. Its ancient glory has departed, but it has gradually become, celebrated as a watering place. It is situated on the 'Sussex coast. ,
