INCENDIARISM.
* FIRE-RAISING IN TIMARU. [BT TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION,] TIMARU, This Day. Two attempts to destroy buildings by fire were discovered here in the early hours of yesterday morning. Shortly after L 2 o'clock on Saturday night a firo composed of chipe of wood, bits of sacking, and coal was found at the foot of long timbers reared against the outer wall of the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's wool store. In the store were 2500 bales of wool. Had the fire been left a few minutes longer tho whole store must have gone. The other fire *vas discovered about the same time, outside and Company's business premises. In this case two empty cement casks had, with the aid of small wood and paper, been lighted against the A'all of wooden buildings in which kerosene and sheep dip are stored. This was also discovered just as the fire was gotting a good hold.
