Gales in the Midland?, North-west df England, and Ireland; accompanied by terrific hail, fetopped hundreds of Idolball matches. Three grandstands were unroofed. The market hall at Stockport was wrecked. A marquee, in which were 40' d chiMreri, collapsed at Stratfdrd. All were rescued. Tho damage dono by the storm is estimated at several hundred thousand pounds sterling. A VESSEL CAPSIZES. eight Persons Dfiow^tei); , ' LONDON, 23rd Fe-bruary. : The schooner Reginald Fisher capsized ill the Mersey. Eight persons were drowned.
