CANADA AND ASIATICS. EXCITED FEELING IN VANCOUVER.
RIOTING FEARED. By Tvkeruph.— Press Association.--CopvriEht VANCOUVER, 22nd February. The anti-Asiatic party at Vancouver is becoming growingly excited, and threatens a huge parade of the streets. It is feared that rioting will take place. Sir Wilfrid Laurier, the Dominion Prime Minister, is awaiting the decision of the court, which is generally expected to declare the British Columbian restrictive legislation on the lines of the Natal Act unconstitutional. If tha decision is otherwise, it ia supposed tho British Columbian Acfc will be disallowed owing to it conflicting with the Anglo-Japanose treaty. The Act passed by British Columbia was signed by the Lieutenant-Governor, but did not receive the Royal assent. A few days ago Sir Wilfrid Laurier ordered the lelease of two Japanese who had been Fenteiiced to twelve months' imprisonment under the Act.
