Some, -very large lines of cargo have (acoordin; to the Chrisxchurch Press) been shipped from Lyttelton to Auckland lately, nnd the HuddartRirkf r steamer Victoria, which left Lyttelton on Wed'Ksday, carried over 1000 tons of produce for * jhat port. The Victoria established a very crer stable record in handling 1 cargo at this port. She commenced wor,k at 7 a.m., and in ten-Jiours took in 1000 tons of cargo, loading at the rate of 100 tons «n hour. Last week theS'/oliom discharged! £00 tons and took in 1100 t ens ot cargo in 174 hours. The Talune is to he overhauled in readiness to emtark- a large amimber of New Zealand paa•?engers et Auckland for Vancouver. The Talune is to connect with the Alarama at Fiji, and is timed to leave the northern port on the 18th M.'rch. „ - Advice received reports thai the Union Company's cargo eteamer Aparima arrived at Hamburg on Thursday morning from Vancouver after a passage of one d.iy shorter than expected. The vessel's nvssion was to transport a cargo of wheat. The Apanma's future movements ere not yet disclosed.
