EXPRESS TRAINS AND THE ROTOMAHANA.
«s> TO lIIK EDITOR. Sir, — I would like to call your attention to some want of thought on the j part of th? Manawatu Railway Company. You may have heard, or noticed, that the Rotomahana from Lyttelton does not always arrive in time to connect with the 7.50 a.m. New Plymouth txpiesj. For instance, last Saturday she reached her berth at 7.45 a.m. Passengeis who were going to New Plymouth and Auckland engaged cabs and drove quickly to the station, but of no avail. Just as the train had left these cabs drove up. See what this meant. Board and lodging would have to be taken till Monday morning — two whole days. If unprepared this would be very annoying, especially if you had no friends im the city. Now, slirely, in a case like this tho train could be delayed a little. — I am, etc., THORNDONITE.
