[By Telegraph —Special to Tue Post.] WANGANUI, This Day. After some hard work today, Tresidder and Webb will both take things easy until they go to the post on Tuesday. The week's work has been very hard, and it is satisfactory to know that both men havo got through it in a style which pleases their supporters, and both declare that they are as Hi as they could wish to be. Tresidder last evening had a very hard row over two and a quarter miles. He set off at 30 to the minute, rowing very nicely, albeit there is still noticeable that stiffness which has characterised his work all alone. He has not the free and easy s'yle which marks Webb's rowing, and appears to crouch a bit in his boat. He does not show tho life which the champion does, but still he gets a deal of ps.ee up, and «t» possessed of plenty of stamina. Webb and Green were out early in tho morning, covering 3J miles at a hard pace, Webb's body work being particularly good, whilst »no fault coidd bo found with his blade work. Ho went, right through at 24 to tha minute. In* tho evenins; he again covered tho full course, rowing well within himself. He has improved a lot in condition since being in earnp, and is now as lit as possible. His trainer, Barnett, is very confident, whilst the champion himself considers he has a good chance of winning.
