Car TEirniura. — mess association.] DITNEDIN, 21st February. A fatal accident occurred on Iha i-ramlino leading to St. Clair about 5.30 this evening, tho \ictim being Mr. Wm. Bennett, headmaster of M' Andrew Road School. Deceased, who was cycling, was riding behind a tram-car, and as tho car plowed down ho turned on to tho other track to pass it. Unfortunately another car waa coming in tho opposite direction, and before. Mr. Bennott could get cut of the way he was knocked down with great force, reseiving injuries which caus-cd death almost instantly. Deceased, who was 62 years of age, loaves a, widow and family of eight. Deceased had been headmaster ot M'Andrew Road for £5 years. AUCKLAND, This Day. The body of an unknown man was found in tho harbour this morning. It had evidently been in Ihe water only a, few hours.
