The .Wellington Swimming Club held a, fifty yards' handicap race at the Te Aro baths last evening. The race was for the President's Cup, and resulted as follows : — First heat: C. Aston, 13sec, 1; L. Bridge, lsec, 2; W. Morpeth, llsec, 3. Time, 41soc. Second heat: H. Ashford, 4sec, 1 ; A. Wine, 4sec, 2 ; R. Evenson, ssec, 3. Time, 34sec. Third heat: A. W. Croll, 4sec, 1; J. Townsond, 4sec, 2; P. 'Moore, 4&ec, 3. Time, 34 2-ssoc. Fourth heat : C. M. Ward, 4sec, 1 ; W. Johnstone, ssec, 2. The only starters. Time, 34 3-ssec. Final : Aston 1, L. Bridge 2, H. Ashford 3. Time, 40 2-ssoc. Won easily. GARRISON ARTILLERY SPORTS. Tho annual swimming sports in connection with No. 3 Company Wellington Garrison Artillery Volunteers, resulted as follws : — Fifty yards maiden : C.
