THE OTEKAIKE PREFERENCE CLAIMS. LEFT TO THE MINISTER.
[BT TELKGBAm.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, This Day. It is reported that tho Land Board has repeated its previous recommendation to the Minister of Lands that preference leases be granted in terms of section 80 of lho Land Act last session to Mitchell and M'ReUar of the sections respectively solected by them in tho Otckaike block block. Tho board leaves it to tho Minister to refuse his approval to the recommendation if ho considers the law does not admit granting these particular leases.
