The -results of the annual competition for Iho three scholarships founded at Te Ante Nati-.o College by Mr. Douglas M'Lean, of Napier, in memory of his father, the lalo Sir Donald M Loan, luuo been won aa follows :— Senior scholarship, open lo native boarding-school boys — Gussie Hadfield, of To Aute Native- College. Junior scholarship, open to boys attending native schools — Taaro Koromote, of Ranaitukia School, Poverty Bay. Junior scholarship, open to boys attending public o.' native schools — Hercweni Katote, of Waima School, Ilokianga. Each scholarfillip is tenable for three years, and is worth £35 per annum.
Mr. Frod (Jlovrr (son of Mr. (100. Glover, of this city) who has been with Mr. Arthur Hoby for the past thiec years, leaves by the Ruapehu in March for Guy's Hospital, London, where he , intendtj to lesume his dental etudig6.
