CARDINAL MORAN IN AUCKLAND. A SCENE OF ENTHYSIASM.
[Bl TKLEGBAPH.— PUESS ' ASSOCIATION.. AUCKLAND, This Day. Cardinal iNloran arrived from Sydney by the Manuka early on Sunday evening. He was welcomed by local cleric? of the Roman Catholic Church, and an. 1 immense crowd, and escorted by a procession of carriages to th© residence of Bishop Lenihan. The scene in the town was on© of intense enthusiasm. The Cardinal's, carriage was rather pushed along than pulled by horses. "" On arrival at the Bishop's Palace, Bishop Lenihan made a speech of welcome, and Cardinal Moran thanked the people of Auckland for the very enthusiastic welcome extended him. Such a reception, he said, could not do other than" cement tho union, which from the earliest days had welded together tho great diocese of Sydney and the diocese of uckland.
