AUCTION AND PROPERTY SALES THE RHODES ESTATE.

Details in connection with tho sale of *the Rhodes estate, which takes place on tho 18th Ma^ch, will be found in our advertising columns. It is stated that this is tho most extensive catalogue of city freeholds which have ever been offered at auction in the Dominion. Tho following- is a brief description of tho properties to be submitted: — A teclioii on Lambton-quay adjoining the now building just erected by the Wellington Trust and Loan Co., having a frontage of 43ft by a. depth of 61ft ; another with a double frontage of 47ft lOin to the Quay and 65ft to Bbwen«tveet; ■ also a block having thrco frontages 42ft llin to Lambton-quay, 95ft to Mason's step 9 and 58ft to Wellingtpn-tcr-raco. A section, rheasuriiig 66ft and being 200 ft deep in Fitzherbert-terraco has a large reeidonco on it now occupied by Mr. Harold Beauohamp. Adjoining this property and having a 66ft frontago to Murphy-street is a level section. Opposito the Town Hall in Victoria-street is tho estate's block of land having ft frontage of 150 ft by 74ft to Cuba-street. A boction in Gvey-strect with a frontage of 22ft opposite tho National Bank and another in Fetithorston-strefit opposite J. Nathan's Co.'s building with a frontage of 34ft, will also be sold as will bo cornyblock opposite To Aro railway' station with fronlagej of 61ft to Victoria-street and 175 ft to Tory -street. Another "portion of tho estate in Adelaide-road is a block of land having a frontage of 106 ft by a depth of 80fh This is opposite tho Caledonian Hotel, has threo dwellings on the frontage and six cottages at the r«r fronting Bolfasl-street. Tho portion of the estate in Tasman-street has a depth of 264 ft. The frontage is 40ft and there are two dwellings on it. Town acre 935 with a frontiigo of 165 ft to Adelaide-toad will also bo fold. A number of wareliouEe sites adjoining tho Kerosene Bonds, close to Thorndon-quay, will bo submitted at tho same time. ' Separate plans of each lot and complete catalogue are now being prepared, and 'when ready will be posted to intending buyers on application. To-night, in the Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Byron Brown will hold a salo of Otaki properties. In all eighty-one sections will bo submitted, varying in size from a quarter of an acre to ono acre.
