Tho Westminster Gazette says : "Bad luck and bad cricket caused England's defeat. llir best crickoters won. Everything suggests that the Australians wero superior by virtue of their greater experience in test cricket." The Pall Mall Gazette remarks : "It is disappointing that the Britishers failed to make a better fight, even though tho conditions were unfavourable. The brilliance of some of the Australian youngsters was ono outstanding feature of tho test matches.''
