It was reported that the prospects were favourable for obtaining a hall for services for the combined district of Kelburne, Karori and Northland. It was thought that a suitable place could be secured in Lower Kelburne. After some discussion, in which reference was made to the way in which the holding of services at Kelburne would affect St. John's and St. Andrew's, the Rev. Dr. Gibb moved:— That the Presbytery expresses gratification at tho prospect of beginning work in Kelburne, Karori, and Northland, and agrees to take the necessary steps to place an agent in charge of these places at the earliost possible- moment, leaving it to tho Church Extension Committee to select a suitable man, and that the new district be in charge of St. John's." He said it was a pity that tho building available was not further removed fiom the city churches. A site for a church had been secured half a mile further from the city. The motion was amended by designating the new district a preaching station, and was adopted in that form. It was announced that Dr. Bowie, a New Hebrides missionary, would visit Wellington in April.
