BAD STATE OF THINGS IN AMERICA. MANY UNEMPLOYED.

A correspondent of The Times states that nearly one-third of those usuaJjy. employed in trades <uid industries are at present unemployed in the United -States. A message on Saturday 'stated that there were four thousand unemployed, in Chicago, 40,000 in St. Louis, 30,000 in Philadelphia, 30,000 in Boston, and 10,000 in Pictsburg.
