HARBOUR BOARD ELECTIONS.

POLLING ON MONDAY. , Considerable interest- is being taken in the biennial elections for the Harbour Board, to be held on Monday next. For tho city representation six candidates have been nominated as follows :— ; Bolton, Frederick C4eorge ' Copithorne, John William Fletcher, Robert , Hildreth, William Thomas Shirtclifie. George . Wilson, George , v The.ro arc only two \abancies Messrs. jShivtcliffc and Fletcher held office last year. The following polling places have been appointed :—: — St. Paul's Schoolroom, Sydney-street. W. H. Turnbull's Auction Room, Pan-ama-street. Town Hall, Cuba-street -Extension. Rechabite- Hall, Manners-street. Druids' Hall, Taranaki-street. Victoria Hall, Adelaide-road. St. Thomas's Schoolroom, Riddiford-stre-et. Tho Public Schoolroom, Island Bay. O'DonneU's Hall, Seatoun-road, Kilbirnie. The Public Schoolroom, Roseneath. Churchroom, Aro-street. Library, Harrison-street, Brooklyn. Bowling Green Room, Kelburne. Polling will take place between 9 a.m. .and 6 p.m. Mr. James Ames is the returning officer. The payers of dues are entitled to one representative on. the board. Messrs. James M'Lelkm (who occupied a seat on the board last year) and Mr. C. W. Jones (manager of the Huddart, Parker Company), have been nominated by those entitled to vote. Tho election will be held on Monday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Harbour Board room. Mr. Frank Wills is the returning officer. In our advertising columns Mr. James M'Lellan publishes a notice to tho payers of clues and owners of ships. In our advertising columns 'Mr. G. College, Hume's Buildings, Willis-street The' ferry steameis will run excursions to T)ay'a Bay, Seatoun, and Karaka Bay to-morrow morning and afternoon. On Monday at 2 o'clock, Messrs. \V. H. Morrah and Co. will sell by public auotion on the g remises, Old Customhouse-street, tools, *imei, and unfinished furniture.
