Business in oats has, on the other hand, slackened off. They aro not offering so freely, and buyers are apparently not very keen after them. For feed 2s is generally offered, and for prime milling, which has been scarce so far. 2s 2d at country stations would probably bo paid. The pries of oatmeal has biSen reduced £1 per ton, and is now quoted at £14. There is nothing fresh to report iii regard to barley. Buyers aro not operating to any extent. Prime samples arc saleable, but lately 5s 3d is tho best price reported to have baen obtained. Thero is a fair amount of cocksfoot on oner, and farmers are very firm in I their ideas of value, and for the bulk of tho 121b to 131b sesd, 5Jd and Sid is being paid. For a, prime lino of 1140 bushels of ryegrass, 3& Gd has been paid ! at a- country station. ' Oatsheaf chaff is worth £3 2s 6d for immediate, and £3 for forward, delivery, but' there is not mucii business doing.
