ANOTHER WRECK. THE STEAMER WINDSOR.
ONE MA.N KILLED. REMAINDER SO FAR SAFE. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. (Received February 6, 10.50 a.m.) PERTH, This Day. Tho steamer Windsor, from Fremantlo to Hongkong, was wrecked on Sunday night west of Pelsart Island, ono of tho Abrolhos Group. Her bottom was smashed in. Six whites and fourteen Chineselanded. The chief engineer (Mr. Jenkins) waa dashed on to a reef and killed. Tho remainder of the crew refused to leave the vessel, and are safe there unless bad s weather comes on. Assistance has been sent. The Windsor, commanded by Captain J. H. Walters, was a vessel of 2892 tons, built in 1890 by W. Gray and Co., of Hartlepool, and owned by the Britain S.S. Company, Limited.
