"BREWSTER'S MILLIONS." To-night at the Opera Housa there Avill be witnessed the first production of the successful comsdy^ "BreAvster's Millions," by Mr. J. C. Williamson's neAv comedy company, headed by the young English actor, Mr. Thomas Kingston, and Mrs. Robert Brougb. The popularity of tho piore in America, and its long run ir> London, ag well as its present success through the Dominion, should ensure a. successful season in Wellington. "Browster'a Millions" ia said to ha\-e no brain-distracting plot ; the Avholo thing circling around Monty Brcwster. a young blood, Avho kills time in the pleasurable occupation of pelting away money. He finds jiimself in the unique position of having to dispose of a quarter of a million pounds in twelve months in order to inherit another two millions. The interest of tho play is said to be sustained throughout the four acts. Moore) presided, and during tho evening delivered a temperance 'adress, entitkd "Sacked." Eleven men subsequently signed the pledge. Sailors from jihips m port won the conundrum competition, which proved most amusing. The Limerick competition goes merrily on, and is tho ' subject of much interest. CONCERT AT DAY'S BAY. The concert at Day's Bay last night proved a very enjoyable affair. About four hundred passengers/ Avent over in the Duchess, and the run across the bay Avas much enjoyed. The grounds Avere prettily illuminated, and the concert took place in the pavilion. Tho singers were Miss Sandbrook. Messrs K. P.arkes, E. Archer, H. Woods, and J. Swan. Mr. Moschini contributed a clarionet solo, and Mr. W. M'Laughlin Iplayed the accompaniments. - "WONDERLAND." The fancy dress carnival at Wonderland last night attracted a largo attendance of the public, about 2500 being present. Prizes were won as follows :— - Fancy dresses : First prize, Miss Zeala, Avho represented a Greek slave, and Miss Ruby Scott (Queen EJizabefch). Posters : First prize, Miss Bayr (representing a brand of tea); second, My. Scoonos (a brand of ale) ; special, Miss B. Burgess (a brand of pills). The A'arious side shows were avcll patronised. The final performance of Perry's Bior- ' ama was given at .the Opera House last night, Avhen there AAas a numerous audience present.
