The agreement under Avhich the present English cricket team is touring Australia secures to the Marylebone CO. at least £10,000 of the gate money. The Board of Cricket Contiol assumed responsibility, and in turn passed it on to the associations controlling cricket in Ncav South I Wales, Victoria, and South Australia. With the end of the toui- uoav in sight-, it pppeai-s tolerably certnin that the associations will haA - e lo make up anything between £1500 and £2500. Up to the conclusion of the Tnsinaninu tour the English team had leceivcd £5389.. Thn tAvo Test matches and the matches against NeAV South Wales and South Australia will have to find the balance, and it is likely that the total will fall far short of this amount. If the Englishmen Avin the fourth Test match, the bhortagc will be about £1500. If they lose it, the fifth match will be no "draw," and the loss will be near £2500.
