WARSHIPS EXCHANGE MESSAGES. \ ~— — * B/ Telegraph.— Vrcsg Association.— Copyright. SYDNEY, 4th February. A "wireless" message was received, last, night by TI.M.S. Psyche, in Farm Cove, from 11. M.5. Pioneer at Wellington, the battleship Powerful having acted as "lepeater" at sea. The distance of tho Powerful from Wellington when she got the message has not been disclosed,' but the vessel arrived within twelve or fourteen hours after the leceipt of tho message in Sydney. , OUT OF TOUCH. (Received February 5, 10.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Ths wireless experiment with New Zealand was not entirely successful. The Powerful got out- of touch with New Zealand and Australia for six hours, losing tho New Zealand side on Sunday night. Yesterday the Pioneer cbspatched a message from Sir Joseph Ward to Mr. Dc-nkin. lhe intention was to &end the message, to the Powerful, then on her way to Sydney, the fhgship to retransmit it to Melbourne.
