THE WAIKARE'S CRUISE. This year's cruise in tho West Coast bounds by tho Union Co.'s slcaroor \vaikare (Captain O. M'Donald) was most onj joyuble. 'On .the xnesds}: tho^Waikaro left for Wot Jacket Arm *pd the afternoon wjU pleaeantly spent in rowing, fishing, sketching, etc. A eudue tournament in tho evening was won by Mrs. Goft and Mr. G. A. Eoarh. Ott the run to Doubtful Sound on the following day (Wednesday 22nd), a head sea and stiff north-weat wind wuro exporieucod. Tho vessel dropped anohor in Crooked Arm and remained there for the night. A. piogramme of songs and recitations, inter&pmod with d&neon, was gone through after dinner. On Thursday Hall's Arm and Grar g Arm wero viaited, a stay for the night being- made in the lattor iulet. A fancy dross ball in the evening 1 was a great euccess.
