PEELIMINARY TO MABRIAGE. IA PACKAGE OF STRYCHNINE, By Telegraph.— Press Association.— 'Dopyright. (Received February 4, 10.40' a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The jjplice at Terang are investigating a peculiar case in which a young woman received a letter inciting her to kill her child, as a preliminary to her marriage with a young man. Accompanying the letter was a- package containing strychnine, with, full directions how to administer it. There was sufficient in the packet to kill several babies. Terang is on the main road between Geelong and Warrnronbool. It is a small town, the population being approximately, two thousand.
