The City Council, at its meeting last night, passed the following resolution : — "That the Bylaw Committee be requested to consider the question of making a bylaw to regulate tho admission and accommodation of peisons attending public entertainments, and in particular to consider (1) whether all seats in the places of entertainment should hi numbered, and tickets of admission should bear corresponding numbers ; (2) that holders of such tickets should retain the counterpart throughout the performance, and should only be entitled to uso the seat referred to."
