c £bi telegraph. — rurss association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Thk Day. A few days ago a fairly largo parcel of new season's wheat changed hands at 4s 6d per bushel (sacks extra) at a country null. In January forty-four building permits were issued by the city surveyor for property valued at £24,150, the fees totalling £625. The City Council, at its meeting last night, passed the following resolution : — "That the Bylaw Committee be requested to consider the question of making a bylaw to regulate tho admission and accommodation of peisons attending public entertainments, and in particular to consider (1) whether all seats in the places of entertainment should hi numbered, and tickets of admission should bear corresponding numbers ; (2) that holders of such tickets should retain the counterpart throughout the performance, and should only be entitled to uso the seat referred to."
