Sir,— ln this evening's -issue, Colonial asks Lancashire lad to explain his figures as published in Monday's issue ; but I was mare interested in Englishman's statement published in the same locaL which was, that thanks to having an economical >vife, ho had been able in two and a quarter years to bank £300, notwithstanding the fact that for a portion of this time, ho had been out of employment. His savings work out at £2 11s 3d per week for 117 consecutive weeks. Will Englishman also explain? — I am, etc., ANOTHER COLONIAL. Petone, 29th January, 1908.
