ENTERTAINMENTS. FULLER'S ENTERTAINERS.

The managomont of the Theatra Royal gives its patrons plenty of changes and variety in the nightly entertainments, and aro rewarded with crowded houses and touch appreciation. Saturday evening, when a change of programme was presented, was no exception to this rule, and a large attendance t o'f vaudeville-lovers filled, the Royal upstairs and downstairs. Bright numbers of" a generous programme were the loleons in a clever display of wirewalking and sharpshooting, a picturesque "turn" that won tho performers rounds of applause; the sprightly singing and dancing of tha Lucas Sisters ; and the dramatic playlet "Tbo Lighthousekeeper's Daughter" conscientiously featured by Harry Salmon and Ida Chester. Tod Calloway appeared with a budget of new songs, one of which, "Wait For Me," with a catchy refrain, earned him four recalls; Lloyd's comic so-ngs were well received; and Miss Nellie Power, in her song "The Big Black Hat," and Watts and Lucas in their variety "turn" had to respond to double encores. ' Tb.B more serious side of the entertainment included Allan Shaw in his dexterous sloight of Hand coin, manipulation, a finished piece of jugglery; Matjtame Blanche Carelli, whose ballads wexo charmingly rendered, and A. L. Cropp, whose bass voito was heard to "ad vantage in "Down in the Deep." At intervals some biograph varieties were shown. ' i HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. The third change of programme in. connection with the Koyal Pictures -was mad© at His Majesty's Theatre on-Sat-urday night. There was a crowded audience, and, judging by the laughter and applause, tho well-selected programme of humourous, dramatic, and mystic pictures was greatly enjoyed. The films are as well sfhowa as any seen in Wellington, and if. the, audiences of the past fortnight are any criterion, tha Royal Pictures should havo a lengthy season. Two special subjects shown on Saturday evening wero "Tho Olpckmakeor'a Secret," and "Little 1 Jules Verne." Both aro coloured films," tho former treating of a clockmaker's" dilonjma, who, after selling his soul to Satan for plans of a town clock, tries '.to' encape his fate, and is aided by a good angel in retrieving his promise. Tho second is highly amusing. A little boy goes to bed, and reads one of Jul&8 ' Verne-'s highly imaginative stories, falls asleep, ana dreams he is soaring in tho • skies in a balloon, and then descends 1 to the bed of thejocean, where he &ee3 strange sights indeed. He is attacked by a, huge creature, but wakes to find himself fighting his pillow, and covered with feathers. "A Child's Hate," "A I Modern Don Juan," "Indians and Cowboys," "The Mad Motorist,;' "The Pickpocket," and many others were also, well received. 'Miss Ida Brady contributed several illustrated songs, for which shoi was encored. To-night the programme will be repeated, and a Limerick competition will be -instituted. A matinee performance on Saturday afternoon was well attended. "BREWSTER'S MILLIONS." Plans were opened this morning at th« Dresden for "Brewster's Milli<v>e " and there seems every prospeot ot vie settu performances by Mr. J. G. Williamson's New Comedy Company of this play being witnessed by good houses.. The n»wv comedy, will be staged for the first timo in Wellington at the Opora Hous© on Thursday evening next. . There are it is said, , many attractive features in its presentment. In the first -place thero is the originality of the plot describing the. strenuous efforts of a young millionaire to gpfc rid of his money, which 'most inconsiderately persists in coming back to hiaa from the most unlikely investments. Then there is the sparkle, df the dialogue. Thirdly, theTe is the novelty provided in the yacht scene, and lastly, thero" is an , interesting cast "headed by Mb. Thomaa Kingston,, and containing such players as Mrs. Robert Brough, Mr. ' Gregan Jf Mahon, Mr. J. B. Atholwood, Mr. Cyril Mackay, Mr. Roland Staveloy, Mr. C. R. Berkeley, Mr. Leonard Willsy, Mr. T. W. Lloyd, Mr. Vivian Edwards, Misa Nellie Calvin, Miss Helen Fergusson, M^ss Irb,y Marshall, Miss Editfc I<bw«, anu Miss Mary HungerfoTd. The Pollard Opera Company conclud- / ed its Wellington season on Saturday night vrith a repetition erf "The Islo -oC Bong Bong."
