ENTERTAINMENTS.

. «>. "BREWSTER'S MILLIONS. This comedy, which tells the story of the frantic efforts made by Montgomery Brewsler to dispossess himself of a fortune of £250,000 in order that ho may acquire a larger one of two millions, is to be produced for tho first time in Wellington at the Opera House on Thursday night by Mr. J. C. Williamson's New Comedy Company. Mr. Thomas Kingston will appear as Brewf>ter, and the occasion will also bo of interest, because of the reappearance of tho popular actress, Mrs- Robert Brough. A distinct element of spectacular drama; is said to be added to this brisk comedy in the ship scene of the third act, which promises to be a novelty. The scone is thus described : When the curtain rises the deck of a yacht at anchor in a French harbour is seen. Orders are given ,to put to sea, the anchor is weighed, and as tho boat moves off the shore slips by in panorama, while the ship itself begins to lift to the swell of tho open ocean! Then a storm comes up, tho boat pitchps moro and more violently, the wind whistles through tho cordage, the lightning flashes,, and Monty Browster's friends stagger about the .wildly heaving decks, until at last the- engines- break down, and Monty seizes the chanco of being towed across the Atlantic and paying a; heavy salvage for the privilege.
