Major Wardill has received a cable--818 1 am from t,h 0 Middlesex Club, stating that a rule has been passed preventing a cricketer from playing for a colony and an English county in the same year, and that feeling on the subject is strong. The cablegram adds : "Please do not play Tan ant again for Victoria. Compensate if necessary."
