A race for a trophy presented by Mr. Tomvjtb v, as_ sailed yesterday cvoning under tha auspices of tho above club. Tho sailing conditions wero not . favourable and owing to a shortage of crews only .four boats competed. Tho handicaps wurc r — E. Bailey's Thelma (scr) ; B Stirling's Vora (2imin)'; 1 A &.ldred's Irox (2imin) ; _ and L. Sargent's Oeo (3miu). O/- the first lepr to windward tho Vcia replacod tho leading: boat, "Oeo, and niain.taan.ed her lead throughout. Tho Oeo Implied a i^ood second, followed by tho •Thelma and Irex in that order. T. \Vilia i-oni -on ectcd as f tarter, judge, l.meketper, aud hmidicappor. ' Next fcsaturday the firtt championship race will be re-sailed. It was declared void when firtfc sailed.
