The United States Supreme Court has declared an Act passed by Congress prohibiting railroad companies engaged in inter-State commerce . from discriminating against members of labour organisations in matters of employment to be unconstitutional. The court held that master mechanics in the Louisville and Nashville railroad were entitled to be discharged from their employ because they were members of a labour organisation.
