Burglars. stole from llentschel's studio at West Norwood, ihree miniatures > of the Queen's daughters, lent by Queen Alexandra for reproduction. Mr. Carl Hentschel, founder and chairman of Hentschel's, Ltd., was born at Lodz, in Russion Poland, in 1864. He was the inventor of the Hentschel colour-type process, and has published many books and newspapers. One claim to distinction, according to "Who's Who," is that he initiated tlie innovation of having no speeches ivt a public city dinner.
