ENTERTAINMENTS.

1 OPERA HOUSE. I "THE LITTLE MICHUS."' ] Last, night "The Little. Michus" sparkled at the Opera House, and. kept the people well entertained. The performance has improved greatly since the first night — of the second act especially. In • the third act the violins ' .were too loud in tho ladies' solos. Nearly every member of the company has bettered his or her part. Of iMiss Murphy in particular it can bo said that last night her voice, her singing, her appearance, and sometimes her action and expression would havo been creditable on any stage. Miss Ada Page begins to get value out of the part of the- lady customer. Miss Jessica Deane's song, in the part of 'Mme. dv Tertre, was charmingly, given. Th© chorus work also has improved. There are only two more performances, and to miss the piece is to miss a great deal of pleasure. ' * "WONDERLAND." •Sand digging at -Miratnar is likely to be a popular industry this afternoon, the inducement being buried treasure placed in tho grounds of "Wonderland" by the proprietary. Spades have been procured in large numbers to meet the expected demand, and these are to be hired ,011% afc sixpouco each. All the "side shows'" are ta be in full running," and those patrons who fail to unearth wealth may easily find solace in the amusements of ihe place. FULLER'S ENTERTAINERS. A number of new artists appeared at tho Theatre Royal" last night, and the announcement of the change "served to attract the customary large audience. The "Three Musical Ctomes" mad^ their reappearance, ond uie4 with an enthusiastic reception ; at ihe conclusion of their pleasing performance on the handbells they teceived a double encore. Mr. R. W Collins was heard* to pleasing effect iii hia songs. One of the features, of the evening was the Auckland soprano,Madame Blanche ! Carelli, whose singing of the Various numbers wa4 much appreciated. A paxticular feature of . this lady's tur.n_ is her clear .articulation— a. qualification' lacking in so many soprano vocalists. "Lesseo and Rexo gave- a finished display of juggling and balancing, whilst the Marlowe Sisters -and- Miss Gertie M'Leod had to - are'spQai, To .undeniable demands for /^fr.'~3sp]o Lloyd, a local comedian/" nja^dje ;%»' reappearance, ' and again . proved Ks ' popularity with the Fuller. patr, ons.
